Question...Are these lights really light bulbs instead of leds? If so, can't we just use some stained glass paint and paint them?

There other places too . The radio , and the switches use very tiny surface mounted LED's that are oddly dimmed to match the normal chevy dingy greenish white . The power window and lock switches use normal incandescent bulbs , but there soldered to the circuit board .

Word of advice , if you wanna start changing out bulbs ....learn to solder well first , because nearly all of the dash lights and switch lights are soldered in and not removeable and very tiny .
