The drop between an LS and an SS N/A or SS S/C is fairly substantial! The SS's sit, as mentioned, a bit more than 1/2" lower.
The drive quality between the two SS's is marginal - the SS N/A sits slightly lower, and the S/C performs slightly better. This mostly due to the tire and wheel diffference, though the SS/SC does have an improved steering system.
