bad smell

ok so leaving the shell station after filling up with that vpower the other night i come out on to 112 and hammer the car smoke first shift second smoke it too and then hit third n smoke it a lil bit. drivin down the road i get a really bad smell. i have had clutches burn up before kind of smelt like that def wasnt tire smoke eitha. not sure if i should be worried i mean the car has 4k on it n most of the time i usually baby it. should i go to the dealer and compalin about a bad smell or is it not even worth it.

Most likely it could be either the clutch or tires....

if it smelled a bit like some gunpowder or something, it was the clutch, and how do you expect to have the dealer test it out?

"hello, i was doing burnouts with my car the other day and i think the clutch is slipping really bad, i was wondering if you guys could check it out for me?"

If you normally baby it and then get on it one day, you blow a whole bunch of crap out of the exhaust tract. The SC model runs rich and this will happen. Was the smell like sulfur or rotten eggs?? I get this from time to time.

if you were smelling your clutch, you probably brazed it pretty bad. plan on it starting to go out sooner than normal if you did.

it happened to me about 2 weeks ago and i've probably got 500-1000 miles max left on my clutch... my car won't even take off hard in second gear now lol, but i'll fix that this weekend with a stageIII

it was $555 shipped (for stage 3, 6 puck spec). that's almost $70 less than gravana sells them for, and it will be here tomorrow, so the company is bad ass with shipping.

i ordered it monday at about 5pm, and the ups # said it will be here tomorrow. that's a 72 hour time from order to delivery, i've never had service like that for car parts on the internet.

not sure specifically, but i would guestimate ~225tq. they're pretty crappy. i just got this bad feeling once people throw that extra 30+tq from the stage kits on, after our cars have some wear on them.. clutch go bye bye real fast

I don't think it was your tires spinning going into third. I think it's your clutch slipping going into third. just my 2cents.
