to all who are using tenzo springs look here!
i just ordered mine the other day from a member on here and was wondering how you all installed them. well more importantly i was wondering did you all cut your bump stops or anything. is there anything in the installation process that i should be aware of with these springs?
weird, i heard from a member on here that his ride quality was tons better than stock.... i just want to know before they go on if anyone who has these cut their bump stops. ive read that you should never cut them, and then ive read that you should on some occasions. anyone know for sure?
Do not remove the bump stops completley...I'd leave part of them in there, if not, the whole thing. Bump stops are necessary for proper handling. By cutting the bumpstops you increase the imapact loads on the chassis when the suspension bottoms. That's what I've been told by numerous suspension shops, when I lowered my other cars...
You want the bump stops to hit when the suspension is under complete load, or when the wheel is at its maximum height. When you drop it it hits that maximum faster so you cut your stops.
I dont know how big they are, but I would cut them however much your drop is supposed to be.

wat i reccommend and i have about 17k on my sportlines and stock struts and no issue's at all..dont cut the rear bump stops at all,and cut the front about 1/2"(1 layer)..i dont bottom out or anything and ride quility is really good, even when i have a full car
there's a sticky or thread about this somewhere...you only cut the bump stops if the spring instructions tell you to
and I thought Tenzo R's only dropped it 1" and 1.3" on an SS/SC and a SS/NA as well?
