Installed Intense Poly Tranny Mounts Please Read!!

Ok so I put the Intense Performance Polyurethane Transaxle mounts on my car earlier today. I drove my car around after putting them on and man you talk about horrible!!! I ended up swapping them back out. What would you guys recommend with the mounts on these cars that isn't going to make the whole car and dash vibrate????????? This is my daily driver so I do want to keep it user friendly.

its a price you have to pay, add cabs with them and kiss wheel hop good bye, or risk snapping a axle

I had the same issue with mine and ditched them after a day.

I have since filled the stokers with polyurethane caulking from Home Depot and they are firmer than stock, but no vibes.

the mounts also break in after about 500 miles. the vibrations will not be as bad, but like stated above, you gotta make some sacrifices in comfort for perfromance, especially in a front wheel drive car.

it gets better in a day or two..put them on when you are driving out of town to let them break in

I might try putting them back on again. I don't know. There isn't anything else??? I wonder if I drill some holes in them if that will make them looser? or does it kinda defeat the purpose?

Damn, are they really that harsh. I have a set of Prothane front/rear tranny mount bushings sitting in my trunk that I was planning on installing this week. My car is a daily driver as well, but thing is, is my interior already vibrates like crazy b/c of my exhaust setup. Hmm, what to do?

They're not bad at all, at first mine were not even that bad, but got even better after a little while. Mine were made by energy suspension though so I don't know if they are the same or not.

I drilled several 3/8" holes in a circular pattern around the mounts and that did help. I didn't give them a chance to break in though. That may have eased the vibes even more. I had the most vibes with the A/C on, thats when I couldn't stand it anymore.

With drilling holes in the polyurethane i'd be afraid about compromising the structure since its a stiffer material, it also seems like a waste when you could have sold the mounts and just filled your stockers with polyurethane caulk for about $15. I am interested to know how they last with those holes, i guess you could always fill the holes with polyurethane caulk if they start to crack and split.

I wouldn't think the polyurethane would crack or split it isn't like rubber or plastic. Heck there is a hole in the center of it to start with! lol..

So you wouldn't reccomend having the Ingalls AND poly trannny mount inserts? I have the Ingalls on my car right now, and I had planned on installing the Prothane front/rear transmission mount insert bushings this weekend.
