Any idea what would cause my car to vibrate out of the blue? It was running fine yesterday, then tthis morning I started driving and almost felt as it I had a flat tire in the back or something... so i stopped and looked and my tire was fine. I have no idea what could be causing it... :thumbsdow

loose lugs, bad axle, bent rim, bad cv joint, broken mount, etc. can you explain more symptoms? does it happen all the time? only when you turn? only when you brake? only when you accelerate but stops while coasting?

maybe something cracked or came loose because of the temperature change. It's been so very cold now it warmed up... things expand in the warmth remember. Can't tell you what it might be, but that may cause it.

if it stops when you let off the gas, or are coasting, i bet it's most likely a busted cv joint or a busted mount. have you wheel hopped the car?

ok. well i would jack the car up and check the axles, then check the cv joints, then check the mounts. that would be a good starting point.

Flat spot on a tire?

flat spot on the tire would do it all the time though, regardless of acceleration. would still be there when the gas was let up.

Snow stuck inside of your wheels

Snow stuck inside of your wheels

again though, why would that only make the car vibrate when accelerating? wouldn't that vibrate all the time regardless of throttle?

Nope..........they said they noticed it a lot more while accelerating.......which could mean there is more vibration as you go faster which could still leave the mud on the inside of the rim in the mix. :)
