Been a long process. Knowing wat we know now about better head porting and some mods to the bottom end to make the engine run as efficiently as possible and to keep the blower from robbing a **** ton of power. Got some plans for the near future for alot more power! More flow = less boost = More power in more ways than 1 lol.

You're also not revving up to 8700rpm either. He's making ~250ftlb up at 8700rpm, you'd be lucky to see 200 if you could get up there.

Care to tell a bit more about the engine mods and head work? Not trying to copy you, but an efficient engine without the blower robbing too much power is indeed the way to go:

In & exh side both just ported? (That thing sounds like it FLOWS!)
Stock or oversized valves?
Which brand/type pistons and rods you have in here?

Although I run an 80mm pulley on the TVS to keep my IAT's low-ish (road coarse racing...), I see I can use some Stage 3's in my life.

That does not sound much different what you had before:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/dyno...s-dyno-312721/
(that's not yet on E85 there, not?)

The new "monster port" head must be something... :-)

It's the same setup

Previous engine that did 363whp was hurt.

Only difference now is a more aggressive ported head and I had each cylinder fire ringed (copper oringed)

Always been on e85

Its gonna be a real tight fit, but should fit. Worst comes to worst... Why not take a dremel and do some work around the wheel well area? Should be able to safely take .25" around the whole intake hole without any issues and it'll drop in a lot easier.

Nah I drove 320 miles home on the stock intake/TB from Tjolley's.

Kind of been my motto with this entire build. Trevor Jolley and I built this to be driven, beat the living @$#$#%$ out of it, then drive it back home.
I'm obviously not doing 1000+ mile drives in it, but a near 700 mile round trip is a true test for a engine like this one.

The OTTP 3.5" CAI actually fits really well; I've had it installed properly in the past. We just had it installed that way for ease of install during the dyno.

Interesting that the LS4 TB + 3.5" intake starts showing a difference above ~3500rpm but then the gain starts declining after about 7k... wonder what the next restriction is?

Next restriction becomes the head / valve train

We've addressed everything but the valves themselves

30whp from such a simple bolt on...

I did CSS favor...

Leave your stock intake on your car, and save yourself a whole lot of cash until you start making north of 350whp.

yea but 80% of the dumb dumbs will get the biggest intake to say they did .....

but getting the 3.5 to play nice was interesting, had to scale the **** out of it to make it just idle to limp it to 06blackg85ss for tuning

somewhat, didn't get to finish dialing it in due to the bolt hole spewing coolant into the motor.
patiently waiting for him to get a new block in that bitch so we can try and break 500whp lol.

Congratulations! As far as I know you have the highest TVS SC'ed car around! As said in the past, very well done. Car sounds awesome!

Turbo Tim made 402 (iirc) on the M62 for a while, its nice to see someone go after the record like that!

I appreciate it

He was somewhere around there on E98.

Time for the 2.6 pulley to spread the gap even further.

I'm itching to drop another grand and just start development/testing on the larger 1mm+ intake/ 2mm+ exhaust valve head with Tjolley.

There's a bit of power left on the table if the boost can get into the lower 20 psi range on a 2.6 without bumping the displacement.
Would help keep the IAT2 at bay too... temps sky rocket past 8000.. doesn't help it's on a stock endplate :P

driveability at this point kinda sucks with that setup, well at least at the point we are now.
don't know if you are going to like how touchy it is. but soon I'll have some free time again. gotta bang out a few more things on my car this weekend so I can finally get back to working on the fast car (trans am) lol

It's a costly experiment

Bumping to a +2 - 3mm valve on exhaust and intake side is a gamble without any support.

We're just a couple guys with cash, some skill sets, and a mission
