Edubs Turbo Build Complete! NO*56*NO
its details like this that make Darton one of the best.
but now im down and since darton offers install for 600 cant beat that, you know it will be done right, plus im local.
so 685.00 retail for sleeves and 600 for install. 1285.00 and a few bearings and gaskets (i already have everything else) and it will literally be bullet proof with 130,000 psi tensile strength.
check out this link of the full install, it starts off in the pics with an old quadratec motor but the pics in the end is a 2.2

yeah i never wanted to go all out and sleeve a block because of a single horror story of the 2.2 installed in 2.0 and it wiped out the whole build.

I've already started talks with Darton about sending my block out to them for these new sleeves...
Yeah, they did a very good job...
Manifolds can be reproduced, since they have them at the shop at the moment, but my technically everything was completely one-off. The charge piping was designed to be more efficient so the path they took requires some trimming behind the bumper and entrances to the engine bay. They specialize in custom turbo projects, not kits that sacrifice efficiency for time.
Their price for a custom turbo kit would be right in the same ball-park as buying a pre-made kit from one of the other manufacturers, just guaranteed fit cause the install is free...

I hope it all goes well too,
Thanks!
Which intake? The 3" RD Fabs M62 one? If so, I sold it along with the M62 last year, sorry...
...they have measurements to make more, though...

I can't wait to get the motor back in it and get back to tuning for the spring...
...btw, are you the one that won 1st place at Carlisle P&S two years ago? If you are, my wife and I checked out your car while we were there and thought it was extremely well done. Clean two-tone, real impressive setup.

The plus side is that a heavy duty manifold like this will probably outlast the car itself...
Thanks!
