About time to tune.... What one? Advice please

Okay so I have a stock 09 SS/TC coupe with 30k miles... I am getting my Hahn catless dp installed today... I am looking at getting a mild tune and being done with it for awhile... It is my DD..

I have a "full coverage" Carmax warranty and I am worried about an aftermarket tune voiding it?? Does anyone know if Carmax will fix this car themselves or try and take it to a real dealer? I am worried about blowing a piston and the GMers running the codes and seeing a Trifecta or HP tune...

How about the GMs1 tune?? Seems like small hp/tq gain but should still keep the Carmax warranty? idk

What are your thoughts?? I found several 2 year old posts about tunes but since it has been awhile I figured people might have different opinions..

Thanks!

Gms1 will be a mild gain, and you will still keep your full warranty. Both hp and trifecta will void your warranty. Even their "stealth tunes" are able to be detected if they dig enough.

What he said. But a dealer isn't going to go looking for it either in most circumstances.

Edit: An aftermarket tune that is.

You think the Carmax Goons would be able to spot a stealth trifecta tune??

I bet they try to fix the issue inhouse before taking it to GM

I really hate the idea of shelling out 600 for a shitty GM tune... But I just got the car and bought the warranty so i would hate to waste the money just for a tune. UGH

Anytime someone says they want a "mild" tune, I'd say go with GMS1, but get the sensor adpater cables. Don't get the solder-in pigtails.

Personally, I would go with the Trifecta Stealth tune with stock boost/22 psi, switchable on the cruise control button. Warranties are ****, so just fix it yourself or pay someone to fix it when you break it.

I hear the GMs1 will disable the learn down feature and allow my mods to gain extra hp/tq???

SO do I have to install my DP after I get the tune??? Or can I install my DP now but I just wont have any gains until I get the GMs1 tune?

You'll see between 21 and 23 psi. GM numbers are 290 hp and 320 tq.
