Boost Spike at High RPM?

With the Stock tune on my boost in 2nd gear has been spiking from 15 PSI to 17 PSI at RPMS above 5k. Any recommendations to figuring this out? They only thing I can think of is that I have a boost leak somewhere??

Thanks in advance.

That is normal and how the stock tune runs.

I had that problem after I was tuned. Bought the Forge bypass valve with the stiffer spring it helped alot

He isn't tuned..

My car stock would hold 15psi and then rise to 17-18 like you are seeing.

I see the same thing stock and with the Forge unit so its not that. Its to keep the car accelerating all the way to redline and not fall on its face too much, lol. Its the stock tune and I think its to make up for our little K04

Just to clarify my mods: Forge BPV - green spring, K&N Intake, Catless DP, and TF 23 PSI tune. I get this spike only in the stock tune. So this is normal? Seems weird because most turbo cars will spike early and settle out?

Are the stock tables setup to to do that to compensate for the K04 falling on its face so pushing more air = maintaining the target tq?

Prolly more for gas mileage. This way the car is tame around town and then when you want to go it will ramp up and take off.
