can you paint SS seats???

hey i was just wondering something. I have the black on black SS/TC seats. I think that the red and black interior that was offered is pretty cool and id love to have had that option. Its not esy to find someone who would trade you their red/black for my black on black(especially someone near by) but could you do this......??? is their anyway to pain the black trim on the seats and even th door panels the exact same color as what GM had offered? what i mean is......is their anyway of doing this and doing it right. No shitty back yard jobs, like authentic looking. Id want it to be so spot on match that you couldnt tell that it was paint and that it was the original GM red/black. would any custom car shops do this? what is the official name of the red for the Cobalt SS Turbo interior??

anyone know of a place in Ontario that could do this????

im just curious to hear what everyone has to say!!

Nope. Nothing will show up on the black. Vinyl dye would be the only thing that MIGHT work but it would look horrible on the black. You're better off trying to trade

paint just isn't gonna be flexible enough for the seats.

You'll have to check the spline count, but you should be able to just use the Sky RL's steering wheel in the Cobalt.

As far as painting the seats, it won't work. Try seeing if there is anyone out there wanting to trade red for black.

Did you try to ask Chevy how much they charge for the all red-black interior? It may be cheaper than what you think. Much better saving some money to buy them, other than doing a paint job, expecially on the seats, that you can bet a million bucks in time the paint will start to come off, then you have red with black spots
