checking the clutch???
checking the clutch???
i heard that there is a way to see how the clutch and transmission are holding up?? something about 3rd gear at a low rate of speed?? i dunno if this kid was just messing with me or if he was right? just wanted some input? thanks for any post
basically the clutch is good if it holds and does not slip in third gear at 3000 rpms at full throttle.. The thing about putting load on the car at 3000rpms or lower is it puts a crap ton of stress on the transmission.
its not the best way to find out but its pretty much the only way.

Check it for slipping?
Easiest way to tell if it's not really holding the power anymore is get it in 4th gear at about 2000 rpms and floor it. If that doesn't slip, then you're good
