Code P0140

OK, I'm going to try to explain the best I can and date stuff back so people understand.

I installed my BADMAB Catlesss Downpipe in february of 2011
i also have an angled defouler on it so it would avoid CEL's
NEVER had a CEL until recently

now i am getting the code p0140, i tried erasing the code and tried disconnecting the battery and the light would be off then eventually come back on.

p0140 is for heated oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 2 its not getting enough voltage, people told me a new o2 would work and the other said my defouler could have a hole in it.

Do i need a new o2 sensor?

Please let me know thanks guys.

P0420 is ushually what happens without a defouler or a malfunctioning/poorly designed one. With that code I would replace the post cat o2, http://www dot gmpartsdirect dot com/catalog/frameset dot cfm

You can reach the O2 sensor plug through the driver's side wheel well.

You just unroll the wiring from the heat shield. The heat shield is kinda like a thick tin foil.

Dont mean to sound stupid
Take the driver side wheel off

You don't even really have to take the wheel off. I experimented with it today and I can reach it from underneath with the car jacked up pretty high. It is a tight area, though, so you need skinny girl-hands like I have. The hardest part is getting that stupid blue locking piece out and back in. You have to pull that out first or it won't unplug. You don't have to removed the heat shield. The cable is just kinda rolled up in it. You just unroll it. It's very thin tin and made to be bent.
