It's set up this way now so you can't just pull your battery cable to reset a CEL and then go for inspection and pass. I think there should be a better way for them to get around that or at least make the drive cycle easier

I agree, the part that sucks is that I have never had a dead battery or disconnected it on the 3 years ive owned the car..

Well i just realized.. I was able to hook up with my own scanner a few months ago, which was After my tune. Now i cant so its something that happened recently.

The dealer told me if i ever jump started a car from the terminal under the hood instead of the battery in the trunk, it would reset my computer... i dont know if this is true or not but i did that 2 weeks ago and this may be the issue..

Also i cant tune back to stock because 1. i cant get in touch with my tuner, and 2. i cant drive 3 hours away with an expired inspection

Does anyone know if the drive cycle has to be done start to finish every time? it seems as if the only part of the drive cycle that sets the monitors i need are the acceleration and deceleration.. but i dont know if every time i have to let the car cool to ambient temp and start over.

Do MIL eliminators cause 02 readiness issues? Also how can I tell if my tuner turned anything off relating to the issues, I can not get in touch with him

UPDATE: issue resolved, MIL eliminators do NOT work on newer cars.

Because they give a steady and constant voltage it does not let the computer test the 02 sensor which will leave the monitors incomplete until it is removed.
