cracked charge tank?

Hey guys i guess i have a crack in my charge tank its about an inch long and very thin... its 900 dollars for a new one. of course its plastic like the rest of the intercooler piping, Any ideas on cheap fixes? can u jb weld plastic? or any liquid sealants that would work? i dont really wana fork out 900 bucks for a plastic tank. obvisouly has to be strong that will hold under boost if it melts or come loose and gets into combustion chamber that would be uh oh.. please any ideas will be greatly appreciated im in desperate need

Get a new one. Go aftermarket such as MPX or "crazy steve" intercooler.

I think some have melted the plastic and "temp" fixed it that way. But most upgrade to an aftermarket IC. Problem is most hang below where the stock one is, so more of a chance to crack the IC instead of just the plastic end tank. mpx's isnt as big as the others (most are so freaking huge, too big for a stock turbo).

You can JB Weld it. Many have had success with it. A factory IC is only $412.

Is you car lowered? If so...what springs? You may have to go to a different set up. I have Pedders..about 1" lower. No problems so far.
