I thought when the dealership got an invoice that means the car will be shipped within the next week.... they told me my car was shipped May 12th... so i am expecting it to be here by 3rd week of June...as soon as I get it I am taking it on a road trip for vacation

 

4-5 weeks to ship one state, it only takes 2 weeks to get here to oregon. I do believe they ship and give an invoice at the same time.

 

I didn`tknow it was the first of April again...I really don`t wanna go though tax season again so soon....but I thinking all of this has to be a joke...LOL...enjoying the festivities with the rest...pop corn and loonies does it get better...LMAO

 

dont all the cobalts get shipped from ohio? and im in PA so that mean I should expect it at the end of this month?

 

Yeah they are made in Lordstown, Ohio, if the batch hold gets released then yes.

 

Well in this case I am going to call tomorrow to verify if it has been shipped for an 100% fact rather then just waiting and waiting for them to tell my June 1st that it just shipped

the good thing is the dealership i am buying it from is in ohio.... so they have a better chance of getting it soon

 

When you do ask them to call DBC or GM dealer world to check exactly where it is and check if there is a batch hold on it and if there is WHY, tell them to get you a reason!!!!! Then let us know.

 

Well since I dont even know who "DBC " is I dont expect the dealers at this dealership to know they will say, " I will call you back as soon as I find out." I know they wont call back

i am sure he just wants to make his money off the sale the guy already dont like me i came in the one day and he gave me the keys to an SS/SC...... and i took it for about 30-45min and when i came back he was VERY unhappy how long I been gone AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA... he never told me how long to have it out? So i took it for a nice little ride

and the sad thing was he didnt even check to see if I had my license or anything

 

Not exactly what DBC stands for that is just what my sales manager uses, it is the phone line sales manager can call to get real time updates on tracking cars, and finding out if there are holds and what the reason for the hold is.

As I've been told, the supplier strike DID affect Cobalt production, but in terms of brake system components.

Will this make the Cobalt SS/TC late? I don't have the latest info on the strike's status...anyone know?

As far as it being shelved until '09, well...rumors do have a way of growing with every retelling. Seems WAY unlikely.

It's true!! happened to me =] my order was dropped...so i re-ordered an '09 which will be done in september...SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pissed beyond belief.

 

lol yea dude i was pissed BUT i got a call from another dealership about 15min and they are holding me 1 with all the options i wanted so i am still in luck with the 08 im goin on monday to check it out
