I had a tech walk by my car yesterday and he said it sounded like the timing chain tensioner was going or gone. Sound normal or is there signs of something wrong? This is a cold start after sitting all day at work at -15c or 5F

 

Bump! I'd really like to know if that's the problem... mine sounds pretty similar.

 

it sounds like mine... normal its the fuel injectors if im correct....does the clicking slow down and get quieter once the eng warms up?

 

I thought the tick... tick... tick was the injectors? I've got the noise heard in the video and the slow tick.

 

i couldnt quite pick up anything, the first time....but i can hear what your inquiring about now, i've never hear anything like that....sorry couldn't be of help

 

sounds like mine when its cold, a pos, thats normal

 

The noise seems to get a bit quieter. I almost hear a knocking I think. I'm 100% stock btw

It's normal. Just the direct injection. Enjoy the beautiful sound and wait for someone to ask you if it's a diesel.
