Dont paint your calipers!
So I got to work painting my calipers before I realized the "Brembo" logo is just painted on - not stamped like I assumed. So until I can find someone to do the logo out of vinyl so I can use it as a stencil to paint it back on, my calipers are just nice and red... I also painted part of the rotor black (the part that is going to rust and be very visible as these cars get older) You cant really tell from these pics though.

If you own a 2008 now is the time to do it - before the calipers get rusty/really dirty. Since they are really clean to begin with, a quick hosing down with brake cleaner is all that is needed to prep them.
I used the brush on kit from autozone. However, I highly recommend getting some small foam brushes to apply it - the one that comes with the kit SUCKS. Foam allows a much more even coat. Apply many light coats to make the final finish nice and smooth.
It just really really bugs me that the brembo logo is no longer there.. I have GOT to find someone to make me a stencil!
I was going to make the flat part (where the logo is) black, and apply white to the logo itself. Should look sharp when done, but... lol

What Paint did you use for your calipers? It came out alot cleaner then I did for my rx8. Just thought I'd ask. I too have rust on my car which is why you see the blue around the center. (stupid blonde in me can't remember the name) I think i used dupont caliper paint and i purchased high temp decals on all of them. the front says RX-8 and the rears are the mazda symbol.
I'm asking what kind of paint you used because I don't really like how mine turned out.

Its the duplicolor caliper painting kit. I suspect Rustoleum could be used as well. ( I used Rustoleum on the black part - Ive used it before on high temp areas and had good results, I'm not planning on racing this car though) The key is the foam brushes - they really do a much better job (and prep is HIGHLY important, like I said when the car is new is the best time to do it)

I don't know man. I actually like it better black w/ white lettering. But I'm not really big into painting the calipers, so that might be my problem. I like em Black or Polished.

Well they arent black stock They just look that way. They are kinda grey in person. They do make a black paint as well that would make them look really sharp.

yeah i used duplicolor too maybe i did something wrong not sure it just doesn't look as clean as yours. And i used the foam brushes as well. But like i said if you are looking to stick decals over your calipers like i did which are high temp. Here's the site I just high temp clearcoated over them to make sure they stay.

I've put that same duplicolor kit on a brand new 2006 Honda Accord and it wouldn't stay on. I let it dry and used a couple coats...after one winter the paint was flaking all over...
I intend to powdercoat the rears to match the fronts.
