factory oil filter question

That really depends on how much you trust them. I always use what's sold, whether its GM bulk oil (Conventional) Dexos (blend) Mobil1(full syn) or sometimes customers request oils we don't carry, and we just have it brought in from NAPA. If you have a maintenance plan, personally would go in to the dealership and tell them just to give you a acdelco filter, 5 qts of Mobil 1 and tell them they can have the labor associated with it. that way you know, and you still get what you paid for.

The deal is it seems as though this thread is giving people advice ~ and I'd NEVER even want to be remotely suggesting that someone should run their oil for that long...

The tough gaurd uses teflon to try to gilter out more of the particulates, but has been proven to cause the same teflon to be deposited into the crancase ect...

I can't remember the specifics, but do recall reading form a source I'd trust that it's not a good thing...

i might ask to go in with them, so i can see under the car, still haven't.

my car sounds pretty nice/loud for having just CAI. to me at least.

thats what i remember to from Fram was it releasing **** into your engine. I've never used fram anything since.
