There is no power steering pump..

 

The thing is i went through everything on them because that was my first idea after narrowing it down. All the couplers were on good and tight. It still kept happening.

 

You have to do a boost leak test. Just because they look tight, it doesn't mean something isn't leaking.

 

I got the one that says "trade me in". lol

 

It's been happening to me for years now. I took it in while the car was under warranty twice and go figure, they couldn't figure out the problem. Now that there is a recall, my lazy ass needs to set up an appointment with the local stealership.

 

How would that be done with a scanner or HPT

Well crap. Now it looks like I have no power steering at all. I HATE going to the dealer.

 

My G5 power steering went out on me while I was on an exit ramp. Got it replaced. A couple months later, I get a letter in the mail about the power steering recall

The dealership wouldn't let me drive my SS after I bought it until after they fixed the power steering. Spent 2 hours (signing papers, power steering fixed, and half-ass detail) at the dealership and then was able to leave

 

Got it done today. In and out in 1/2 day. Not too bad.
