Has anyone seen this IC?
A little off topic (again), but we were dynoing a car with the Crazy Steve IC yesterday. Unfortunately, it does not perform. By comparison, here are 3 different setups dyno'd under very similar conditions and the IAT2s-
45-105 pulls on 60-65 degree ambient temps, same dyno, same fan, same coolant temps
stock IC start 77 finish 95
CS IC start 81 finish 100
Hahn IC start 66 finish 71
This data is based on averages over multiple pulls. Just thought I'd share...
Edit- The ZZP race IC stayed within 3 degrees of ambient and never changed more than 1 degree on any pull with the stock turbo. However, I didn't include this data because the boost was lower since I had a ported head on the car.

I wouldn't quote those numbers as a comparison since you didn't test the same as we did.
You guys should just keep the e-vendor battles on hold untill you both have product thats product ready and let the consumers decided.
looking forward to see what ZZP has in store in the near future, hopefully its the NEAR future and not years away.

There are no issues with it thus far. I have that one on my personal car. Besides it being obvious that its 2 cores, there are no issues. I am going to present the thought that we should machine the welds down so it looks better. The positives to doing so are we gain about an inch in height, thus a bit more volume.

yep the only members of performance autowerks on this forum are mkriebs, myself and werks(dave) but he has yet to post as hes awaiting his vendor card. matt and i have been on this forum for a long time before performance autowerks even was going to do something with this car. this thread and another thread were both start by forum members completely unrelated to us or dont know a thing about us. so its perfectly fine that we come in here and answer questions and inform much like matt m does in a lot of other threads about zzp products.
im not trying to step on ANYONES toes here by saying this. ive bought a few things from zzp so they are good guys and im not saying this to be a dick...only to contridict the point brough up above. zoomer is the only member from zzp that i see with orange lettering by his name classifying him as a vendor. we all know matt and ryan are part of zzp BUT they dont have the orange lettering. so technically that puts them in the same boat as mkriebs and myself. again im just curious about this im not trying to **** anyone off.
now northvibe..... theres no issues with running 2 cores as we have a nice fat weld bead in there for strength. we designed our end tanks around having to run 2 cores aswell. we just wanted to give an optimal size and garret didnt make a single core that we were happy with. so far mkriebs has been running this thing with zero issues.

i think on his last 2 dyno pulls we did 3000rpm to 7000rpm. about 65-70 degrees outside.
So, lets compare IAT1 and 2. Then we can forget about intakes and all that junk. I bet that IAT 2 is not less at the end of a 7000 rpm pull. And remember, my core is about half the size of the race core.
Don't get the wrong idea here. I'm not knocking your IC. From your numbers, it appears that it works well- much better than the stock IC or the Crazy Steve. I just didn't want you to throw numbers in there to compare for your street IC to our race IC which is even larger than your race IC. I wasn't saying that to be a dick. I just knew better than to believe that your street ic and our race ic would have the same temp drop. Now that you have provided more info, it makes more sense, and we can move on.
Yes, it is less. On my car, running the stock turbo and our race IC, the IAT would not move even 1 degree from 2800-7000 RPM, and this is on a loaded Mustang dyno.

I agree, there is not comparison between the street and your (or ours, for that matter) race IC. I misunderstood what numbers you were talking about, for some reason I was read ambient, and thought IAT. DER!
So yes, 14* over ambient. Still not bad for a small core IC.
Good looking out!

I should have been more specific, I did not understand what he meant by "let's wait until you both have product that is product read." I am fairly certain both Werks and ZZP have products that are on the shelf and ready.
