Help evap code!!???!!??!

Hi for like the last year I have been throwing an evap code, bone stock or modded, the only symptom I have noticed is when I get gas it takes forever to crank over

I have looked on here and all I have found is this

"Evap code coming back over and over ended up beeing my HPFP+Purge. She have a hard time starting sometimes when you get gas?"

I sent a pm to the person that posted that but I was hoping for a quick response, anyone have this problem, it's so embarrassing sitting there and having my motor crank for 20 seconds at the gas station

Go to Youtube and search EVAP. You'll see a video explaining to you how to remove and test your EVAP solenoid. The video is on a Sky, but it's the same drivetrain.

you need a new evap purge soleniod it takes about 2 seconds to switch it out and it cost about 20 or so bucks to get one. you can get around it by filling your tank up half tank and not when it gets to empty.

Also watch this video if you really want to know how the EVAP system works. It's boring, but effective.

Thanks that was a lot of help, today I will check to see if my purge solenoid is stuck open but does anyone have a picture of where the vent valve is? If so is there a way to check that?

The new valve requires an adapter for future notice for anyone having a similar problem

Are you sure you got the right one? What was the part number for the vent valve?

Have anymore information on the adapter, such as pics or the part number for that? This is the first anybody has said anything about that.

The vent valve is back at the tank and gives a p0451, I believe. The Purge Solenoid is on the intake manifold.

Replaced both and still having the problem maybe I need to cut the one bolt down on my exhaust off the top of the dp a lil cause I cross threaded one of the bolts the day before this happened so maybe that slight gap of having only 3 bolts tight off the top flange is causing this, if that is even possible...? I'm just flummoxed by this one...

I assume if it isn't that then I have a boost leak somewhere any common places I should check/how to check, I already checked the fmic
