help! key stuck in the ignition.

they stated the ignition was not considered a recall.

This happened to my car while it was at the dealership, ha. They called me and said your car would be done but the key is stuck, have you had problems with it? I was like, no, they just fixed it under warranty. Then like a month later the recall came out and they replaced lock cylinder again, ha.

It is a recall actually.

I had issues on my 05 base in that I could pull the key out of the ignition while the engine was running. It was awesome in the winter back in Chicago.

this **** literally just happened to me 10 minutes ago...FML why did it have to happen after 10pm on saturday? now i cant drive for the rest of the weekend

Congrats on searching
With all the problems gm is having with ignitions right now they will probably replace it without question if not tell them it was loose and you dont feel safe
What year and miles on the car
There was already a technical service bulletin out for keys stuck in the ignition so they might replace it for that to

It is still happening in the 14 models. I had new malibu do this after totally taking a **** on me, and leaving me stranded on a test drive. Not the call you want to make to your boss
