If it's through GM have them get rid of it. I'm guessing its not but is it an HP tune or trifecta? You would have to find someone with a hp tuner and hope they have a stock tune file so they could load it on your pcm. If it's trifecta, contact Vince and have him direct you to someone near you with a cable so they could flash the stock tune back on. Either way if they wanted they could dig deep enough and find the traces, replacing the pcm will do the same-it wont match the one number to your car and that would create a red flag.

I took mine to my local chevy dealer and had them reflash a stock tune back on $75, they didn't really care that it was tuned and have taken the transmission out twice in the last month free of charge to do warranty work.

You better get that in writting. I'll bet when it's time to get something fixed under warranty they will blame the tune even though they got rid of it. That's about your only option though to not be tracable.

Yeah to tune on. They would keep their stock tune on the stock pcm that came with the car and tune on the other pcm so when it comes to warranty they put the stock pcm back in the car and it's never been flashed.

Yeah, it really depends on your local dealer, like I said mine doesn't care at all, but the one 20 mins up the road wouldn't even touch my car when I took it there so it really depends. Oh and when I go in for warranty work I leave all my bolt-ons on too and they don't say a word (IC,CP,SRI,CB,DP,T)

Once the original ECM has been written over, there is nothing you can do to hide it from a trained eye.

Fine a tuner to flash back to stock, I'm sure it won't be hard to find the stock tune file

Where's the source for this?

There's been numerous threads discussing traceability, back when HP and Trifecta people were getting into daily fights, and it has been said that no matter what tune you get GM's Tech II tool can see how many times the ECM has been flashed, regardless of whether or not the stock tune is loaded back on.
