i would get a zzp low profile intercooler just to be safe and be done with it. u cant beat it for $350..turbo-xs is awesome, but is $500

 

what would the difference in performance be between the low pro and the standard? is there a certain HP or boost where you should be running the standard?

 

I'm betting you would only notice a difference if you went big turbo with big boost. You aren't going to notice any difference with a stock turbo.

 

It's a HUGE difference when you're worried about your end tanks detonating.
