Intercooler suggestions?

So me getting a BOV is out of the question with the plastic piping this car comes with! ( it sucks ) so I'm looking into getting a intercooler kit before intake, and downpipe.. I've seen some on eBay for around $323. Any suggestions? What kits are good for the 08 ss? Bolt on preferably.

Zzp hands down. Took me 30 minutes to do everything and its bolt on. And you can get hard pipes from them with a bov flange. Just be ready to tune.

Yeah injen just has the piping, I looked at some turbosmart &forged BOV. But in leaning more towards a HKS, they sound sexy

For an intercooler, no. For a BOV, yes you have to tune for it.

ZZP's intercooler is great, and super easy to install. I like the look of Injen upper charge pipes the best, but ZZP's are stealthy.

If ur throwing on a blowoff valve at the same time it sure is. U better do some research on getting a bov, can't just throw one on and it will work properly.

You can NOT tune for a bov on these cars without a maf relocate being done first.... period. Anyone who tells you otherwise is completely full of it and/or just simply doesn't know what they're talking about. There's just no way to accurately tune for all the inconstancies a vta bov presents to the system in a draw through system.

As far as the OP's question. Like some others have said. Do some research on the matter before you dive into doing a vta bov setup. I think you'll reconsider your options once you see the cost involved in correctly doing such.

As far as an intercooler kit. There are a few good options out there, but the zzp setup is a solid choice no doubt.

I know that, that why I said he would need to retune if he runs a BOV, I was assuming he was relocating the MAF as well.

Assuming's a very slippery slop my friend. Especially when explaining something to someone who's new to the platform.
