K&N Intake for SS/TC
I would be interested immediately TTR. I will be relocating my MAF anyway, so how it peforms on an un-tuned car is of no consequence to me. I like the looks of this SRI and the box they designed with it is a nice touch.
For all of you waiting for log results, I think we can pretty much assume its going to perform like any other SRI. Look at the MAF position / distance from filter and really thats all you need to know. This isn't to knock the K&N, but realistically I just don't see how it can be any better than say ... a Dejon or CIA SRI. At this point I'd say you're buying a nicely made intake with a hot air blocker enclosure.
There is no holy grail intake for this car (yet.. ever?) and they all require a certain amount of tuning. I think by now it should be obvious that the only way to get CONSISTENT MAF tuning results it to eliminate the intake factor and place it in the cold IC pipe. At that point you can choose whatever intake your little heart desires. I'm interested in this SRI because of the enclosure and also don't like the effects of a CAI's filter getting wet while driving in the rain.
Just my opinions.
Edit.

The K&N system doesn't require a tune. They spent over 4 months developing this system to get the MAF placement perfect. That is the big difference between a tuner shop trying to develop something opposed to a company like K&N that has experience building hundreds of systems.
If you've got a lot of mods a tune is something that needs to be done to optimize the performance. I'll be getting this system for our SS/TC as soon as I can and I'll post my results.
