honestly I am more curious how much gain it will be over just their filter. they have limitations they have to work within in the design of the factory system, so they are just giving it a bigger filter really. Not saying that the piping section wont help but seems like all that try to improve that area of the intake just run into turbulence problems , ergo going back to the factory specs. BUT I prolly will get it anyway.

I actually wanted it for the winter. The filter gets wet in the snow & rain on the CAI through the fog light opening.

Pre-Filters are great additions and pretty inexpensive for the benefits when you consider. I've always used outwears (though running stock box most of the time these days) and was throughly impressed with its ability to repel water. I'm sure injen is just as good, but have never tried them.

I see my fuel trims go to +6 or so when my filter gets damp. I hate to add a pre filter, just another thing to restrict flow. Wish the K&N would be released already. Eager to try it & let everyone know if it's any better than the rest.

No, that's why Iam Broke! I keep buying stuff to try and sell it for about half. The K&N Typhoon will be my 4th intake not counting the airbox mod.

If anyone wants to donate to the cause, pm me! LOL!

Eh its only been a little over a month since the OP brought this to our attention...I trust that K&N is taking their time to make this thing right.

Really? I'll be one happy camper to see that. When did you hear about that? I gotten the GM Stage 2 calibration added with my Stage 1 when the dealer did my GMS1.

Someone either lied to you or had no clue what they were talking about if I'm reading what you wrote correctly.

I'd say the odds of gmpp releasing any sort of intake for this car is well...non existent.
