LNF Valve Cover Seepage

Hi all. Long time lurker, first time poster. Cobalt LNF 110k miles.

A few weeks ago I noticed some wetness around the valve cover. Oil level and color looks fine. I have never missed an oil change, use full synthetic from vehicle purchase at 40k. Near 100% stock.

There is also something coming from this hose extending out of the exhaust manifold. It looks like the hose goes into my brake booster back near the firewall? Forgive me, not great with cars.

Should I worry about either of these? Considering snugging up the VC bolts a little bit and degreasing the area to see if it helps.

Thanks.

The valve cover might be a leak or it might not. I would clean the area first with soap and water. Let it dry then check after you drive it in a few days. Monitor after your drives to see where the leak starts if one is present. If you have to, replaces that rubber gasket seal is easy but I would go around at the point and putting some serious torque on the bolts so they don’t strip or break.

The break booster hose to intake manifold. The plastic bolt that connects to the booster hose could be loose(mine was). See if you can move the plastic piece by hand first then you can tighten it with a wrench if loose. Double check the booster hose too so there is no cracks or holes in it.
