So a friend of mine just got the new ZL1... it shipped friday from canada... so it should be here sometime later this week. or at the latest end of next week...


i have a FBO LNF... I am thinking with a more aggressive BYT tune we should be pretty close...

what do you guys think ?

Wishful thinking, that thing can run high 11's stock in the 1/4 mile.

 

A big tuning company by me has one and I talked to the owner and with their kit it ran 9.9@141 on slicks and low 10s on street tires. Uhh, yeah have fun.

 

OFCOURSE from a roll! i will get murdered from a dig...

but i beat my friends evo from a roll that did a 12.2 in a 1.4 mile... and i keep up with cars you would imagine... such as GTRs... (older one ofcourse... again will get murdered if it was the new one)

BMW m6s, and m5s. i keep up with them.... smoke m3s... (all in a straight line ofcourse. lol and from a roll)

but the point is... if we do like 40-100 and i stay in 3rd the whole way down...

get that new clutch... new tires... and a much more aggressive tune. im hoping low 400s wtq, and 330+ whp...

i bet i could drive around all day and only see 1 or two cars a zl1 would lose to. but thats only because i see gtrs once a week.

 

You beat the evo from a roll because the evo lost its awd launch advantage, you're not going to beat the zl1 period.

I think youll get destroyed....they run 11s bone stock, and have at least 100hp advantage is my guess, so youll get pwnd on a roll too.

 

you might be able to see his tail lights for about 5-10 seconds, after that he will be unseen...lol

That's what the ZL1's are pulling so I can see it getting nasty quick.

I mean the Zl1's are a little disappointing vs the 13' Gt500 but excluding the Mustang they do move out for it's weight/being bone stock.

 

I don't think he'll just BLOW YOUR DOORS OFF.... but I don't think it will be close. A solid win for the ZL1. (several car lengths)

Trap wise the difference is like you racing a stock TC, FWIW.
