Did you ever verify if the intercooler end tanks were cracked/leaking?

I've inspected them and have done a leak test as well as tighten the claps . The leak test showed a small leak were the plastic joins the core but it was really small and took a while to bleed off pressure .

Yes canister has been bypassed for a while now . I have 9 psi now after replacing wastegate solenoid and disconnecting the battery overnight . Just got my new wastegate actuator in the mail hopefully I can find time to install it tomorrow , my work schedule has been hectic this week . I hope it’s the actuator and if not the only thing left to do is buy the hard pipes and do another boost leak test . As I said before the only leak I found was where the plastic meets the metal on the bottom of the inter cooler , I plastic welded it but haven’t done another boost leak test yet . The leak was so small it took a few minutes to bleed out 5 psi . Also I had to connect the boost tester to the upper charge pipe and block off the pipe to the throttle body or I lost all the pressure in the motor ..

Well new wastegate actuator did not fix the boost problem unfortunately. I guess an extremely small boost leak in the intercooler can cause me to have low boost. i have the wastegate adjusted correctly so my boost is around 7 psi was at 9 psi with wastegate nuts tighten a few more turns but i had to much surge . tomorrow i will be removing the bumper and doing a boost leak test once again ....

Fixing the obviously broken parts usually fixes the problem. Especially if it's some thing like boost pressure and you know you have leaks.

Throwing parts at a car just wastes time and money.

Just to update everyone I found a leak on the plastic end tank soap bubbles even at idle I tried epoxy with jb plastic weld and it didn't hold up at all so I am ordering zzp intercooler . Now as I mentioned before I was running the pill mod to compensate for the leak temporarily which caused nothing good after a while it would throw the tune all wacky and drive like junk ( felt sluggish even in boost ) also got the overboost code p0234, which verifies the end tank must leak a lot under boost to make the turbo spool reidiculously To be throwing the overboost code . So everything is back to stock till I get my intercooler in . Yes I know I have over complicated this process by being stubborn to think it was a leak but it was hard for me to believe a leak that small can reduce the car to 5-7 psi .

Did replacing the intercooler fix your boost issue or did you ever figure this out?
