Lug Nut Specs?

While rotating the wheels, one of the lug nuts unexpectedly broke off....it was under minimal pressure while loosening it so I was a bit surprised. Now I think i will replace them all with some open end lightweight ones.

I did a search buy couldnt come up with a difinitive answer in regards to the SS/TC wheels. Does anybody know the official measurement of what size lug nuts will fit on the car?

Also does anybody have any interesting color suggestions that I should try or is chrome the ideal choice? (Stock Wheels and the car is Imperial Blue)

Thanks.

12mm x 1.5, RH thread, 60-degree seat. Can't comment on colors and such - I generally stick with a closed end, chrome, acorn bulge style from Gorilla or McGard for these types of applications.

I once lost 4 studs off the rear hubs on my Cavalier (two on each side). I KNOW it was caused by the Goober at Firestone, he didn't have the rims lined up properly when he rattled the first few lug nuts in place. This cross threaded the lug nuts when he tried to run them down at an angle. A few moths later I go to loosen the lug nuts and "ping" the studs just snap right off.

And I think you need a 30mm Usable Length at least that's what the guy at Tirerack told me
