Never Sell Your Cobalt SS Turbo!!!
I keep debating on selling mine in a few years, but by the time I graduate college I'll have it paid off, so I might as well just keep it, sell my dd when I graduate, make the Balt a dd, and buy another faster car.
at the rate people are totalling them, the SS's S/c or Turbo will be "rare" before long.
These cars may just surprise us one day and be worth something.
Similar to a 57 4 door chevy not being worth a whole lot around here compared to a 57 two door thatll fetch 30k easily.

heed my warning or get ready to slap yourself in 20 years......oh but at least you will be able to tell everyone that you used to to own a Cobalt SS Turbo.........yes....im sure this will comfort you hahahahaha
oh and too SSlobalt.....whos the bigger fool? the one who writes these threads or the guy who reads them and bitches about what a waste of time they are? hahahaha

Our car is a Cobalt...... Nothing more. It will never do anything but continue to depreciate. People sell them when they get sick of them or when they are no longer reliable. I see no point in keeping a car that isn't worth **** just so i can continue to pay insurance and maintenance on it when i don't want it anymore.
I plan on keeping mine, God willing, I don't get injured and maintain good health AND don't get into an accident with the SSTC.
Very happy with my vehicle and have improved it as I envisioned.

Here is one in good shape for $550.
1972 Pinto (Great condition)
Better buy it and sell it for $9500 more.
08showbaltLS if i were you i would invest in the SS/TC. I have a SS/SC and its an awesome car! But when your trying to get bang for your buck the TC can produce 300HP and 300TQ for a fraction of the cost it takes to get that from the SC. Just some food for thought.
I bought the stage two kit for $750 and labor was $150 for install. Got 250HP and 219TQ... Sad compared to what you can get from the T/Cs kits. On the flipside you get almost instant boost from the SC vs the TC because the TC's have to spool up first!

It's the guys saying they aren't rare that will be saying 10-15 years later wish I would have kept it.
Happened with my dad and his 66 GTO these cars now sell for upwards of $30-40k
My 69 Chevelle SS sold for $8800 in 93' saw it a few years ago for sale for $30k
My Monte SS is now starting to show value that I thought I'd never see
How about the Grand Nationals and GNX's... how many were produced? and where can you find a nice one under $8k for a GN or T-Type? or $30k for a GNX
Before you say the Cobalt SS is nothing like those cars you're right, it's just as quick or quicker and out handles all of them.
To top this off I've seen an add for a 67 Vette w/427 in a 1972 paper for $3500....value today, no less than $60K
Many guys dirt tracked Chevelles in the 70's and Monte's in the 90's because they were cheep, now with a limited supply, the cost keeps going up.
Hell when I bought my first 69 Chevelle (non SS) in 1988 I paid $2200. Now a non running chevelle "shell" will cost $4k
As far as selling it, that's everyone's choice. For me this was to be my DD that I was going to sell before I hit 100k but now the plans have changed. I'm actively looking for a truck to be the DD, so the Cobalt can become another sunny day/weekend car.
I'm done with the 60's cars and think the cost is way out of hand for what you get. For me the Cobalt is more fun to drive than my 69 SS was and uses far less gas. So I can see others making the switch too. Especially when they can pick up a used Cobalt SS/TC fairly cheap in comparison

im paying 100 dollars LESS a month ronn.
im really starting to consider saving up for a ss/tc tho. only problem is im going for about 500 whp and the ss/tc is a pain in the ass as the ss/sc turbo builds have been relatively painless. also i can get the new fe5 struts/shocks and all those goodies and have the tc anyway for less. hmmmmmmm

Just think - to guys who think writing treads like this to are lame.. most likely the same ones who are.
Just before the summer - online, I seen 5 Yellow TC sedans for sale - now all of them got sold fast.. called each dealer to see if I can get one.. the predicted value for the 2009 Yellow TC sedan is $49k in 2020 already.. yea thats in 11 years from now, but there is only 13 left out of 15, two of them got totaled already.. now think what the price will be when there is less than 5 of them in 20 years.. maybe easy $150k or more??

150K>?
And where did that "predicted value" come from?..
