That is exactly what I had heard from the sol/sky guys, 500miles.

But Delta said, "nooooo, its 1500".

Delta: Did you check all the clamps and fittings??? At your altitude, you should have no problem hitting at least 17psi steady w/ peaks of 18psi.

i am just really confused, what does gm say the car should be boosting? 18 or something? maybe you have to take it to the dealer after a certain amount of time to have the ecu reflashed to up the boost. they might limit it just for break in periods. so it might be that after the 1500 miles you have to go back to the dealer....unless you have a gm tech 2

It's my understanding that HP tuners has not offered wastegate control. There are some other features that are not been available as well. It's by no means a complete package.

I saw no change in power as the miles piled up on my Solstice. I still get a peak of 100kpa-95kpa. Whatever that is in PSI? Just like I did when I got he car. I have heard that boost is limited during break in, but have not seen any proof of such.

It's my understanding that the LNF computer does reduce boost to limit power. I was hoping my car would run like a bat outa hell this winter in the sub Zero temps. Nope. I guess spring won't be such a let down this year. My L67 fell on it's face iin the heat.

yeah the PCM thing is terrible, its impossible to get more than stock power out of it without being able to tune it out and if HPTuners dosent let us do that then theres no point

almost makes me want to get a Mazdaspeed 3 Instead... Same Power except it has a 6 speed and is Friendly to Mods unlike the PCM Monarchy Cobalt

^100% Agreed.

There was a lot of talk in the LSJ forums about boost being limited until a certain amount of miles was reached (I had asked the very same question myself).

But in reality, there is no proof whatsoever that such a condition exists.

In retrospect with my LSJ, I think that I was looking for max boost as soon as I floored the accelerator pedal (which is not how it works).

Stock, the LSJ pulls 10lbs boost and then maxes out at 12.5lbs. only when it's in the upper rpm range.

I'm thinking maybe that it's the same sort of thing with the LNF (15lbs. boost upon immediately hitting the accelerator pedal, then 18lbs. boost only when it's in the last 1,000rpms or so of redline).

The point is without a tune with wastegate control your going to have stock-like performance no matter what you do, and currently HPTuners does not offer Wastegate control on these motors, not even on the Solstice or Skys yet.. plus who wants a HPTuner to be a mandatory purchase in order to get any performance out of these cars? there like $550+ Dollers all because you cant bolt on things and see gains without messing with stuff with a HP

I believe there to be a great deal to gain with a tune. There are a few skilled fellows playing aroung with the package and having success. However, there is no free cake.

Several guys are trying out bigger turbos. A manual boost controller seems to be causing no issues. Supposedly, injectors are hardly taxed over 300. There are logs posted in Soltice Forum.

I would love for manufacturers to offer showroom floor detuned cars to get passed CAFE standards. With a few clicks, you get a politically incorrect toy that every tree hugger can bitch about.

I thought a MBC throws a CEL and in turn the PCM pushes ZERO boost because it thinks the turbo system is messed up

Gm leaves the door open . The tech articles Ive read on this motor says it produces up to 20 psi .

Last I checked , and its been awhile so I could be outdated .....the pcms were , in short , detuning themselves after a portion of time . The bosch pcm will be pretty widely used by GM , so I think hpt will put forth the effort to make it all accessible eventually .

it depends on your climate, there is no predetermined set level, even though there should be.. 20psi no matter what
