i posted my numbers without a sheet, which was 330whp forgot the tq #'s. they called me a liar on that, so one of the vendors said they were going to build a twin screw setup and i gave them some tips, and told them what to expect, they said BS and guess what?

they ended up getting 330whp, just as i told them it was the safest limit without running fuel

you'll never be smarter than the kids that own a cobalt so don't even try to argue with them. best thing to do is to post something and not even respond to their idiotic statements.

hell i think even after i posted some 12 second slips, they still called bs and wanted a video... but then someone would say the video was computer edited and it was fake and they would want me to haul my car 6 states away and run it at their track so they could see with their own eyes, then it would've been that the track was 11.3" shorter than it should've been etc..
and this little speech means what to me?

this is a pointless retort to a simple misunderstanding of a calculation.

kids? not so much.

don't feel bad. 90% of the cars i have done run 30lb/min. it doesn't mean the car is faster nor slower.

Interesting, perhaps what Area described is the reason I saw a huge increase in MAF lb/min and VE lb/min with my Injen CAI when logging, but actually lost a substantial amount of power on the dyno. Bing!

Sorry, didn't mean to take this off topic.

Wrong, will bring on more hate... Either happy dyno, or cold temps etc...

Cause it's css.net... the place where if your not sniffling in some "I just got dumped" , or ranting in some "I pulled a GTR from a roll" thread, your shooting down other peoples dreams anyway you know how...

Good tune, let the kid have fun...

Area is just trying to inform. Why do you insist on bashing him for sharing his knowledge?
You should take it and learn from it.

I got a little bothered because he compared a 22psi tune (trifecta) to a 25psi one and said it was better. Of course its going to better if its boosting more!

Truly happy for him though. The first 25psi trifecta balt I flashed was just night and day difference from the old tune.

I have to agree with Area47, the constant references people make to VE Airflow #'s kinda confounds me. If we were comparing dicks, then I guess I'd win because with the restrictor in place the TMAP's are out of scale and the VE Airflow hits 67.5 lb/min or something obnoxious. I assume thats the ECU saying "I have no idea whats going on, so just peg it."

My STFT's are pretty much dead on 0, and my LTFT's are 0 ... my VE airflow is "only 25" most of the time, yet my MAF airflow is 34-35 lb/min and I'm trapping 108 with my foot in the peddle pretty much only in 3rd gear. With that pill in there, playing with cam phase I was able to hold 34-35 pretty steady. Stock unmodded airbox + 6k airfilter. Honestly knowing the specs of this turbocharger, .... flowing pretty well. Yes, I know people trap much higher but I'm a horrible driver and getting one gears worth of power

Assuming the fuel trims are flat lines, I'd trust the MAF airflow over VE any day. Especially when you're at the point you're running so much boost that the VE airflow calculation is meaningless and incalculable by the PCM.

No bashing or snide remarks here, just my humble opinion.

Yeah my apologies if it came off like I was trying to bash anyone, that was not the case at all. What Area said just made sense to me as I was seeing up to 36lb/min MAF flow and 32+lb/min VE with my Injen, yet when I hit the dyno I lost over 20wtq across the board. My post was simply in reference to scaling in relation to my experience. Hope that clears it up.

BYT,

In your log you posted look the boost is 22.80, which is pegged in the logger and notice the VE Airflow is also pegged. At the point the TMAP's are maxxed, IMO, VE airflow is meaningless.

If I'm totally off base someone let me know

Im not saying anything is better nor am I saying because my log says this I am now top dog. I would never make a claim like that even if that really was the case.

And my comment with the log was obvious sarcasm for Blueberry since he was busting chops at the VE in another thread. It's all in good fun

John, Im happy you're happy, enjoy the car!
I made better numbers on less of a tune, Im sure you will have no problem beating your old numbers!!

The logger will not see over 22.5 or 22.8 etc. The boost gauge in his car reads 25-26 thru the mid and 22 to over 6K rpm.
