Other BPV/BOV options

Ok I have had a stock BPV, Forge BPV, and a HKS BOV installed. I am a fan of the HKS BOV. When I got the BOV installed we removed the solenoid that routes all the vacuum lines around and the vacuum tank as well as blocked off the nipple on the cold side charge piping. So after all that and BOV installed I had turbo surge. So I then I went out and bought the forge BPV. Personally I don't like it, way to quiet, even the stock was louder. But I want the BOV back on so...

First I called Vince at trifecta and he told me to try installing the vacuum tank and all other parts back on and try the BOV again, he said it might work. (haven't got to doing that yet) but any other suggestions on how to run a BOV without surge.

Tell me your setups cause I know several of you run HKS SSQV 3's

did you line up the bpv with that slot like area in compressor housing? that could be part of your problem with it not sounding right. Personally if your on the stock turbo there is NO reason for a BOV. the bpv does just fine and bov are just really put on cuz there "Cool" and sounds "Sweet". Not worth it to me. To each there own i guess.

I had the same issue with my HKS SQVIII bov, after doing the following I get zero surge and no audible flutter. Vince at Trifecta saw compressor surge with the stock set up and after doing this and data logging there was no surge.

Also I have the stock bpv blocked off with a treadstone plate.
