P0089 and P236 after new LDK install
Just installed new engine and drove car a couple of miles when CEL came on and car in limp mode, I smelled fuel shorty after getting car started and could not find the source until looking closer and then I seen fuel coming out from under intake manifold so I am guessing injector seals and O-rings which I did not replace or know to replace so I am thinking this leak is the reason for the P0089 code. When I had the intake off during engine swap I sprayed carb cleaner in the intake to clean it up, I figure I screwed up or dirtied up a map sensor and maybe this is the P236 code and maybe the cause of limp mode. I have new seals and O-rings and tool ordered. Do I put the injectors in the rail before mounting to head or injectors in the head and mount fuel rail to it? Also can the MAP's be cleaned and tested?
The injectors go in the rail first. You'll want to alternate bolts to keep the injectors straight as they're going into the head. The leak could be from the high pressure fuel pipe also. The fittings are tightened to 21 or 22 ft. lbs.
