P0101 code and NO BOOST

Hey guys, have a 2010 SS with GMS1 and K&N drop--in.....thats it as far as mods......was at WOT yes and all of a sudden lost all boost. Check engine light came on abot 20 min later and gave me a p0101 code which from searching can be a number of things.....could it be something as simple as a vacuum leak somewhere.....hopefully not intercooler. Car is NOT in limp mode but as I said I get no boost whatsoever, 0.0 on the RPD.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks for the input guys, the general consensus seems to be a a cracked/broken intercooler. Not that I dont believe it can be a broken intercooler but could it be something else........broken or loose vacuum line, bad MAP sensor, dirty MAF etc.....

thanks again....ill be taking it to the dealer regardless, car still only has 26K miles and hopefully they dont give me **** if it is the intercooler that needs to be replaced

Thanks again

You have GMS1, so they won't give you crap about it unless there are scratches on the underneath side of it. Even one little scratch and they'll say you bottomed-out the front of the car and broke it, which you may have. It's better to just buy a metal IC, anyway, so you don't have to worry about this anymore.

Well its not the intercooler......at least from what i could see......had the car up on jacks 2day and endtanks were fine and no cracks in the intercooler itself

Any other ideas of what this could be causing this error code and having no boost at all

thanks again

Did you take off the bumper? If not, you cannot rule out the endtanks.

Do a boost leak test.

^ run the test.

I ran it on mine but I didn't find anything, but a lot of people find out that their end tanks are cracked this way.

You popped a hose off if you're not even getting past 0. A cracked intercooler usually results in some boost. 0 means you cannot build pressure at all. If your intercooler has a MASSIVE hole, then yes, you would end up with 0, but more than likely, it's just a hose. A 10 minute fix.

I know this is old but I am having a problem similar to it. The only big difference is that it’s been an ongoing problem and I’ve noticed that my car has boost for the first 5 minutes or so then back to zero and doesn’t come back until I start her back up. Do you think it’s a bad MAF?
I’m running k&n sri and catless dp.

No after it warms up, I don't even put it in gear when its warming up. I've shut it down at a red light and start it back up.

Fuel trims are probably off. Get something to read the sensors

I had a very similar thing happen but my boost was cut down to about 3 psi and the car was not in limp mode. Turned out to be the purge solenoid went bad. I hope this helps
