Painting headliner

This may sound funny but I just wanted to know if there was anyway to paint the headliner WITHOUT taking it out! I think I know the answer but I just thought I would put it out there to see if there was a way to do it! Thanks

You will spend more energy trying to tape off and mask the interior then removing the headliner, and its sooooooooo easy to remove!

GL!

I can upload some after work.

Remove the rear veiw mirror-Torx head screw
Remove front pillars, pop the round cap off and inside is a torx head screw
Romve rear pillars- they just pop off
Remove the round pop tab in the rear middle of the headliner
Open both doors, carefully pull weather stripping off the top.
Drop the seats down to the lowest setting
Drop the headliner unplug any wires ie dome light etc,
bring the headliner forward tilt it out the passenger door (no steering wheel in the way)

Paint on cloth? Good luck with that. It sounds as classy as spray painting your jeans.

I wish the HHR's headliner came out that easy.

Mine was coming out anyways, I am sound deadening the whole thing right now.

I thought about the Dye, but decided against it. I am adding another Dome Light to my HHR Panel while it's out, and going to use a Black Suede Material spray glued in.

I hated the light gray headliner with an all Black car inside and out.

As soon as the extra Dome Light gets here I will glue this black suede in place.

I might try Embossing a design in it, not sure yet, but Now would be the time to Customize it up there.

Gluing microfiber/faux suede in is the proper way to do it! Bravo!
