And if you're gonna do the effort of taking apart the entire headlight to make/adjust the cutoff shield you might as well just install retros instead in the stockers and get much better light output Good decision. You won't regret it. Just make sure everything's aimed, adjusted, and the cutoff is perfectly level before you seal the lenses back on. Also clean the inside of the lenses very well before sealing, and if you paint the lights, make sure you give it some time to cure so that gasses from the paint don't fog up the lenses. It will create a "rainbow effect" on the inside of the lends.
