Reputable shops to do a clutch job near Northeast Ohio??

Hey all,

I should be finally picking up my car after not having it since around xmas time. I just had a fmic installed as well as repair some damage done due to an awesome girl yapping on her celly while not looking for oncoming traffic pulling out of her driveway.. anyways I purchased a stock exhaust for dirt cheap and am planning on welding a straight pipe in there as soon as I get it to my cousin's shop.. but my clutch is starting to slip pretty hardcore on my high boost tune.. So does anyone know of any reputable shops that can do a clutch install for me near northeast Ohio?? I would be buying the clutch and tob and whatever else is needed, prob going with ZZP stg4 or one of the KY clutches. Any helpful input would be awesome. Also what kind of clutch are you bolted+tuned TCs running right now? Any problems with them?

oh and one more thing. I can get my 2 old stock rims (some light curb rash from being pushed into the curb) if I pay for the $50 core charge the shop has to pay for them. Has anyone tried to drive the TC with only 2 snow tires in the front? I personally have never had snow tires, only driven my brother's BMW 535i and old girlfriends 1993 Acura Vigor, and both had Blizzaks on all 4s and both kicked @$$ in the snow! Thanks fellow boost junkies!

Zzp can't be that far away so try them. It may be a little road trip but I imagine they'll hook you up, especially if you buy their clutch.

CCSS3, do you have a shop? How long does it usually take you from start to finish?

ive done 1 lnf...3 lsj and 2 base models. All pretty much the same deal. I had spec and clutchmasters both fail. Ive heard good things about ky and zzp so id go with either one. If i chose id go with zzp just because they research everything and have done a ton for the community.

and i just work out of my garage but last one i did was like 4 hours, i have a lift so its a lot easier

I had a car once i had to use a wench to get the trans out. The previous shop pushed the trans in and the i.put shaft wasn't aligned to the friction disc. So it basically got stuck lol.. that took around 5-6 because I had to move the.complete car a lil

yeah I have contacted zzp and inquired about the install.. The clutch is soo expensive though! I know it's you get what you pay for, but for the prize of the zzp I can probably get the KY and get it installed and save quite a bit of $$ for some new summer rubber..

Also a side note. Has anyone actually tried the PLX scan gauge that zzp sells on a LNF? I was gonna go interceptor to view my AFRs, but the PLX in my opinion is frigging BEAUTIFUL! only thing is I contacted PLX yesterday, and the guy I spoke with said it wouldn't read it, but he was also very surprised when I said our cars have a built in factory wideband. He didn't seem to sure about his answer either hahahaa

Nice! That's what I'm talking about! It took my friend and I (he goes to automotive tech school, I basically don't know jack and taught myself everything about my cars from the internet) nearly 2 DAYS to replace the clutch in his built 05 STI... but we were also a little intoxicated.. ok more like a lot intoxicated.. I had just finished my last final before grad school
