Probably fix that....

I'm thinking they will fix it and not total, unless a lot of damage is not visible.

Good thing you aren't hurt.

That's a lot of damage. The whole frame in the front looks gone. Check your trunk and fender gaps around the rear, if there are wide gaps that thing is totaled. I'd look at the gaps around the windshield too.

Hope, they don't fix it. They never drive the same after major body damage.

...another who thinks they will repair, and not total. Although you should push hard in that direction.

Although reviewing damage via pictures is extremely hard to judge on what's damaged or not, I will almost guarantee you that it's not totalled. While I would want it totalled and not repaired so I could get a brand new car, I have a feeling this car is a fixer. Unless there's some engine damage (maybe open up the hood and get a pic of the entire engine), this car looks like a fixer. Maybe somewhere between $7,000.00-$9,000.00 if I were to guess.

Good luck man. Let us all know what the final total is.

I'm not going to read the whole thread, but if there is no major mechanical damage to the engine, then I say they'll fix it.

if they only repair your car find a friend who owns a big pickup with pushbars. not the pretty ones, the one's that are like solid steel, find out where she lives, go there at night and total her ****. drive off with no trace.

Damn. If they say they will repair not replace, I'd talk to a lawyer about suing for the depreciation on the car due to a major accident. Doesn't happen often but a case like this is where you sometimes see it. Shouldn't have to pay on a car that will never be the same again.

That is a hard hit! Hope they total it because it will never be "right" again.

I spoke to the insurance adjuster today, it has so far $10,300 worth of damage and he's saying it's NOT TOTALED. Needless to say I'm working on some things right now as I'm NOT accepting this car back. Indeed it will never drive the same and I will be killed with depreciation and resale value (as if our cars weren't bad enough). My fiances brother is an adjuster so he may take a look at it since when her Audi was hit in the front the original adjuster said that it wasn't totaled, but he got it totaled for her.

I'll keep you posted. I should have more info around mid-morning monday.
