So I was lurking around another thread in here and...
2008 SS/TC imp. blue metallic. 1 out of 69
Gray/black interior 1 out of 215 (rarest in 08)
No sunroof
Low Rise
No RPD
G85
Let it be known, since no one has been able to verify I'm claiming build number SEVEN that makes me 7 out of 69 Imp Blue, you other Imp blue guys better lay claim. We should get plates made for our dashes...

there's the vin.
im having a hard time following the math. I was hoping that with the build info from my vin, someone could break down my number, as in 1 of 92 made with that configuration....

They made 92 Rally Yellow Coupes in 08, 120 in 09.
It really doesnt matter how many of that 92 came w/ black/silver or black/black interior, lsd, sunroof, spare tire or w/e you wish to use. To come up w/ actual information is impossible, its just a guess that really has not meaning other then out of the 2008 TC Coupes, they made 92 of them in Rally Yellow, your one of them, 8.3% of the population.

I'm sure having the low rise wing brings that number down even further, and LSD or not will affect it again....
I know mine was built on 6/6/08, so we had a birthday for it this year.
But logically you can not pick out how many of those 92 RY Coupes had high rise wing vs low rise, how many had LSD and how many had w/e option you wish to include
For the purposes of this thread I think it's fair to assume the options are evenly distributed. Of course, you can't say "I have the only yellow coupe with such and such options" but it's a pretty close approximation. If 50% of TC coupes have the low rise, and there are 100 yellow coupes and 100 red coupes, it's fair to assume 50 yellow coupes and 50 red coupes will have the spoiler because it's unlikely that there will be a huge difference in the distribution.
My car came from Ohio and then from Delaware to MD.

OK so it says that only 40 imperial blue sedans were made. Only 10 with ebony seats with premium inserts....... Sounds prity rare maybe 1 of 5? I only say that because i know not all the imperial blue ones had that seat combo.....

Mine is:
09 Sedan black
No spare W/inflator
Sunroof
LSD
and a smokers package that I didn't need lol
I wish I could have been one of the sedans with the black inserts over the gray. Who in the hell has that car?!

Pre-production cars or something imho. I would've loved black/black as well but was no option even if you put the car in as an order. I've found some great cleaners for the gray, but black/black would've looked nicer on the inside I believe. Hoping to get a 2010 radio and ac controls in the near future to help the interior some being I've seen some pictures and they are black faced instead of gray. The interior just needed slightly some more work from GM imho
(SGC ) SpareTire/Whl Not Desired 37
(ZAH ) WHEEL SPARE SPARE, COMPACT SIZE, 16X4 436
473 cars of 474 with either a spare .....or no spare plus no inflation kit
I had to do it this way because they didn't list the inflation RPO code for sedans.......
Your car is the only sedan produced with the inflation kit lol. 1of 1 heheh
I have the kit too .... 1 of 11 coupes to have it .
I thought you ether got the spare tire option or your car came with the inflator kit as a standard?
One thing I would really like to know is where my car sits in the 474 production line up. I plan on putting a little booklet together with all the production info and pics just for fun. That would be a nice stat to have.

It's all in how you look at it . My Dad had a 70 chevelle 454 LS6 car new in 1970 . He traded it in 72 to a guy for a 69 camaro SS with a 375hp 396 at a gas station lol .......then traded that for a 55 Bel air. Point being, he never thought in a million years they would be worth anything .......history has proved him wrong.
If you look at the car lineups for chevy in 1969-70 ....then look at where our cars fall in ........ well you never know.
1969 2009
Corvair....................Aveo
Nova 6cyl..................cobalt ls
Nova SS 396................Cobalt SS
Chevelle.......................Malibu
Impala...........................Impala
Camaro.............................Camaro
Corvette..............................corvette
A 375hp 396 Nova was a rare car...and the top performing Nova. In 1969 they sold for around 3300 bucks. Now they go from anywhere from 60K to 30K on average for a restored 375hp 396.
They were made for 3 model years ..68, 69, and 70 ( 667 in 68 .... 5262 in 69 and 3765 in 70) sound familiar? Isn't it weird that exactly 40 years later the SS/TC was introduced and ended almost the same way.... low numbers in 08 prolly the most in 09 and ending off in 2010?
Take it for what you will.......... but guys in the 60's and 70's never thought they would be worth anything , and they were wrong! Most people don't think a Cobalt will be worth anything .........I'm just saying look at the similarities and draw your own conclusion .......we might be experiencing the last of our own performance era with emissions getting very strict and alternative fuels just around the corner.
