No clue, I just bought some new 2009 Cobalt 2LT 17" Polished wheels with the Pirelli four seasons and slapped them on the car. CHEAP and they work great!

Hey, Chris. I didn't know you had a SS/TC. We just picked one up, but it's not pretty. Anyhow, we should have a nice turbo upgrade available shortly if you plan on modding.

Yup I picked it up just before I left for mexico about two weeks or so ago, I love this little car so far I'm going to mod it a bit, if I get crazy I'll drop you a line, can't wait to see what you guys do with the new car!

I was wondering who bumped the dead thread. And now I'm wondering the same thing you are. Got a tire rotation coming up and I'd like to have the reading accurate instead of trying to remember which pressue goes to which tire all the time.

The car has a built-in TPMS re-learn. If I remember correctly, you turn the key to "ACC" and then hold down the lock/unlock buttons on your remote fob. The car should honk and begin flashing one of your turn signals. Go to the corner where the signal is flashing and let air out of the tire until the car beeps at you again, then fill the tire back up. The next signal will then light up.

Continue until you've relearned all the corners. This process takes 3-5 minutes tops.

You have less than 2.5 minutes if I remember correctly to do it. GM made the timeout so damned close that if one sensor has a hiccup doing the relearn, you're starting all over from scratch.

I just let the air out of each until complete, then refill 'em all. The turn signal stays on bright for the corner to relearn, not flash. Never timed out doing it that way.

I'm just going off memory, I only had to do this once. Either way, it takes very little time and it's braindead to do.

I did a search and this is one hella expensive tool...>>>$500

So is the best thing to do is to over fill the tires to say 40lbs and then let air out one at a time until everything is reset right? Then readjust to correct pressure?

No no, just go to a gas station with an air pump (preferably a free one) if you don't have your own compressor. Use a manual pressure gauge to let air out of the tires to do the process and then fill them back up on the spot. There isn't really a reason to over-inflate them beforehand... You're not letting out a ton of air here, so they won't go anywhere NEAR flat.

Winter ready with great reluctance...bought my Cobalt for DD but never intended to fall in <3 with this car...now it's too late so the least I can do is do winter in style...

18" DR33 mounted with 225 Hancook Spicy Spicy Squid...I mean Icebear...need to find a salt car for next year...

Thanks Force for the info...TPMS all reset and good to go!

These winter compound are sure soft...even with 18's the sidewalls sure feel squirmy...going to up the pressure to 38 all around and see if that feels better...
