stage 2 guys are screwed

drove a ss/tc today. when i say that stage 2 guys are screwed. i mean just that.
if someone knows how to drive the tc cars. you will get walked. however. if the guy doesn't have a clue how to drive the tc. it will be a half ass drivers race.

im used to my car, no lag.

handling is softer than mine, quiet ass car. hit the tc button twice and threw it into comp mode. found a lil side street and gave it hell. the no lift shift thing is cool. i feel sorry for the clutch though. the clutch is softer than the sc cars. shifter is a tad shorter.

ran first up to 3k, and roll into it. foot glued to the floor, hammered second, revlimiter. doh! hammered third. brakes work alright i guess. they are nice cars, i just prefer the fun of mine. im spoiled by the 8k rpm fun

now i know what turbo lag feels like. again. there is a lot of room for improvement with the stock tune file in those things.

do a little more reading on the numbers your quoting and you might understand.

obviously you haven't been paying attention to the forums at all.

260 and 260 is flywheel rated. Roughly 215ish give or take a few to the wheels.

the 240 and 215 is whp. BUT, I'm willing to bet the tc puts down more than 215 and we all already know not many stage 2 cars laydown 240 with that crap gm tune.

the tc should be faster than a stage 2 ss s/c. But I'm willing to bet driver error will play a big part of it.

Because stage 2 guys are getting 240 WHP, while SS/TC is rated at 260 BHP.

Just sayin'.

Well everything Area posts I trust. He has a lot of knowledge. Now I really have to test drive one of these to see how it stacks up against a non-stock stage 2. If a bone stock ss/tc will walk my 2.9" bolt-on set up I will be very impressed.

I called my local dealer, no ss/tc yet. When they do I will test drive one and give my .02.

Thanks but no thanks Area... good info, but now I'm pissed if one will beat me..

magic dyno's do not state exactness of numbers.

hell some guy on here claims 266 from a stage 2.

yet a 2.5 car did 253 with meth {lsjwannabe}

the 4 stage 2 cars i dynoed last dummer were all within 2-3 hp before i jumped in with the laptop.

the highest was 226 to the tire, and 197 ft lbs.

these stage 2 numbers were all done on the same dyno, maybe 10 degree difference in temps through out the day.

and for some reason your dyno is the only correct one?

come now, you of all people know that dynos are just numbers.
why is yours right and the rest are wrong?

When warranties run out, I imagine stage 2 will be obsolete. People will be going to TVS, Rebel, or even twincharge.

this sounds about right. hence why I can pull pretty decent on a stage 2 car. I actually put down more than that in both areas.

I trap almost 104 w/ stg 2 and exhaust. Id like to see someone drive the tc better than MT with a 102 trap and 13.9. my car shouldnt have a problem with an ss/tc. i wont get walked.

and i am in florida, one of the slowest states.

true true, added cooling adds quite a bit to the top end.

headers are playing a big part into your numbers. opening up the exhaust on these cars shows quite the impressive gain.

104 is definitely healthy.

yea, but the stock header is the most restrictive part of the stock exhaust system. It's been proven. Just look at your stock header, the ports are tiny! Header and downpipe are my next set of mods. along with MORE COOLING! lol.
