Stage Kit installed
Stage Kit installed
I got it installed on Tuesday. I really couldn't get on it as it was starting to rain/snow on my way home. Had it parked most of the day on Wednesday, but finally got out on the dry roads last night. I know alot has been said about the increase, but dang! I actually said "this car is dangerous" after practically jumping 400 last night. I drove about 50 miles last night and another 25 this morning and I can tell a HUGE difference in the way this thing drives. Power is very quick and strong. I am getting about 18-20 PSI, but it has been VERY cold around here, low 20's to mid 30's. My gas mileage seems to be a little better. Maybe 1-2 MPG better.
Overall, I am very impressed. I spent $800. My car is stock except for the tune. I need to drive it more to see how the drivability is compared to what I had before.

I realize 800 is a lot of money, but when you consider that the Stage kit is enough extra performance for 90 percent of drivers to be happy with and you possibly retain some of your warranty (unless they use their favorite word: "abuse"), then it seems worth every penny to me.
Ha, well it is plenty fast for me. Violent comes to my mind when I nail the throttle and traction control kicks in. It is not a very good feeling. I have owned some S10 trucks with v8s that weren't as wild as this little car is. I am going to drive it a little bit harder tonight after work and see how it feels.

I've detuned to just GMS1 and still enjoy driving the car around...Everything other the airbox is stock (still modified w/ a drop-in), and its a blast still on the road. I perfer not having to worry about power modulation, which I was when I pushed the trifecta tune I had. 2nd gear if I wanted it to be was completely un-useable...the car would just spin all the way up rpm band
I realize the burden of proof is believed to be on the dealer's end, but the reality is that it's on our end, and that's like talking to a brick wall. What are you gonna do? Get a lawyer? That would cost more than paying for the repair.
Drove it a lot last night
I drove it a lot last night. I can't imagine this car having any more juice than it has now. I think anything over the power my car is pushing would just be overkill. This car has so much go, I can't believe it. It drives a little smoother than before. But the power I feel is crazy. The real trick is trying to get the car to hook up. It takes some finesse(sp). I am very impressed with the tune and would recommend it to anyone who has the extra cash. I am still seeing boost around 18-20 psi. But, I have to really watch where I am going as this thing will get up and go. I live in North Georgia. Got it installed in Dawsonville. John Megel Chevy.

I know I do
Well, I put around 220 miles on my car this weekend with the new tune on it. It's like having a small shot of nitrous in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. The drive ability is alot better. My gas mileage is a little better, but I am really going through the gears quick, so in reality it isn't . Getting 22-23 everywhere I go with about 24.5 being the best. I am having a great time with it right now. It is a very fun car with the tune. I dusted a crossfire on 400/369 the other night with 4 people in the car. This is a great car for some cheap speed. I don't suspect I will be doing anything else to it as it runs so good now. I teach driver's ed and I am doing things I tell my students not to do all the time. I was driving to Lacrosse practice and did a small burnout saturday...................
just so you know...warranty work does not pay more then regular labor. I used to be a Tech at a Honda dealership, 9 out of 10 times warranty work is about half the time it would pay under customer pay. Just thought I would share that.
