Actually all those mods were free as i drove them off the dealer lot like that. Salesman said the car was stock... I opened up the hood grinning. It was a Chrysler dealership so they had no clue what the car was they just wanted it gone before winter.

No need to be a *****, eh?

The Cobalt, both coupe and sedan are lighter than the Sky/Solstice. It's nothing significant but he's right.

Cobalt Coupe - 2974lbs

Sedan - 3001lbs

Sky/Solstice - 3031 manual, 3071 auto

Nice buy OP! It's a good looking ride and it's got the correct wheels receiving power

That was my first thought but i'm still trying to figure out how to go about it. I want to use my forge BPV because the BOV (Tial not sure on size) sounds like **** anyway and is probably causing damage. I need a picture of a stock engine bay- not sure what they look like.

Turbo Tech Racing Chevrolet Cobalt/Solstice/Sky/HHR BOV Delete Plate 2.0L Turbo LNF

Would this work to block off all the BOV **** and run the line from my BPV back to where it's supposed to go?

so your saying that a lnf with "just full bolt ons +tune" will "SMOKE" a gallardo? Even the 1st gen gallardo was at like 500hp and even weighing 200-400 lbs more (depending on whether its the coupe or the spyder) I dont see a bolt on sky "smoking" it

No. Lets see a pic or your stock BPV location on the turbo. It probably already has a block-off plate on it. You can put your Forge BPV unit back in the turbo and run the vac line to the solenoid, if it's still on the car, but I don't have the location because it's a Sky. Even if you did have all the parts you need, you would still have the external BOV, so you would need to replace that pipe with a solid pipe.

Edit: Did some research. The solenoid is in the same place on the intake manifold on the Sky as the 'Balt. Check and see if it's still there.

@ OP - congrats on the new LNF-Kappa!!

If I was to do this move - it would totally be to an '09 Solstice GXP Coupe;

(pic shows the removable center section taken out)

It would most certainly have to be a five speed though... none of this lame slush-box crap!

I was joking and ow is a mallet sky not bolt on? You drop it off and they bolt in a new motor and do tuning right? Its just a very expensive bolt on!

The stock BPV is actually still there- the line to the solenoid is just clamped shut. I'm debating just tuning the car for the BOV as i'm starting to enjoy the sound.

to clarify- there's a plug where the line to the solenoid would be.
