Summer Tire Time? (NJ/NY/PA)

Anyone in NJ/NY/PA area switch back to summer tires? I have my blizzak ws70's on right now but cant stop dreaming about the grip of my KDW's

and by the way this was the most disappointing winter EVER.

When ambient temps are above 7C it's time to switch to A/S for summer tires I believe it's 12C
That's recommended.

I wait for it to be 40+ for the low temps before I throw mine back on. I also still have to get my rims powder coated and get the new star specs put on. Lol

You're probably better off with winter tires right now for traction till it gets warmer.

I did the switch yesterday - couldnt be happier. before my cobalt, I had a R32, so I guess I was spoiled in terms of keeping same tire all year (has pirrelli a/s all year along).

The worst is braking hard on a curve with blizzaks. The car just feels so unsettled at times. Forget about turning on my tune.

Your better off waiting till it gets consistently warmer. Cold temps are not only bad for tractionthey're bad for the rubber itself, it makes it brittle. Plus with the way this winter is going who knows of a freak snowstorm will pop up mid march/ early April

We will definitly get more winter this year. You're crazy for switching to summer tires now. Unless you live far south where you don't really get a winter.

I live 50 miles south of NYC. Winter really feels over in my area. It was 55 F yesterday, about the same today. One winter storm wont kill me though (I can work from once in a while) and my wife drives a JK Wrangler with 33" mud tires worst case, she is dropping me off at the train station lol

Spinning on cold rubber summer tires eats them up fast

March is an iffy month.... There is still a chance for a whopper of a snow storm.

I would keep the snow tires on.

yea i know but i used to swap when i was home on spring break as long as the weather was ok then and it just sat at college, if i couldnt swap over break i had to wait till i was home in mid may... now that i'm graduated i can kinda swap whenever i want to and the weather allows it thou

I live up near Erie, PA and we get some random lake effect snow storms normally through March and sometimes April. This year, I am hopefully swapping my studded Altimax Arctics' off March 17, just because the weather is already trending up.
