drewbroo - good luck with the Termitune Version 1.5

So the Superchips tune is gonna be gone?

You were my hero with that thing, man.
The only one to champion the Superchips and post dyno sheets.....damn.

Well I have to pass the torch on to someone else. Hopefully there will be more dyno results out there.

I dont think there will be many similarities between the SC tune and his new tune when I am done with it.

Custom tunes are on a completely other level than any flash-type tune

Yep. But do I want to see what that SC tuner does to the DALs, MALT and Lambda. Cam angles are likely stock and so are the timing tables. Probably still has torque management left in there too. I am probably going to have to fix his MAF calibration table too as it seems the Hahn intakes show less airflow than actual. Hence those who have logged their Hahn intake are seeing very positive LTFTs.

I doubt that for 2 reasons.

#1 - people who buy handhelds don't really have dyno/tuning options or access

#2 - people aren't hardcore enough to buy something and then try to help us all out by posting if it works or not.

For that, I salute you Drew.

I posted that about 100 pages ago... to see if they did anything to the MAF's which I highly doubt.

I am curious to as to what they do to the DALS, and what not... Oh by the way got a killer DAL table now! Holds 235-250 kpa the whole rpm range

I've been logging LTFT and STFT's with the SC cortex. LTFT has been consistently around -7 and stft bounces around fro 0 to -3 to +1. AFR's have been around 12.5 at wot. They have a MAF option to log , but i haven't done any yet.

I will... I'm getting the superchips only because I know of no good tuners local anyway

I have access to a dyno, heck i'll try to get a baseline prior to it... my tuner will be here Friday

by the time Stage 1 comes out.... everyone's warranty will be up on these cars anyway, lol

the way I see it, its honestly not worth waiting to have to keep this car stock... if it were my only car, I would... its not... therefore, i'm simply tired of waiting, you will get the same or worse results with the stage kit than with the superchips, it'll be twice as high and if you break something its going to be fun trying to get it covered anyway, besides with the Cortex you get a two year warranty, I wont have the car much longer than that anyway... that is why I am kind of staying away from some of the more aggressive tunes, yeah the numbers are nice but i'll take a conservative tune over pushing the limit any day, the way I see it around 275whp with this and probably closer to 290 with full bolt-ons... that is enough to keep most of the mustangs in my area on their toes and i'll be happy... yeah you could probably make 20whp more with a dyno tune, but sometimes I think tuners go a little over board in trying to get high numbers... I wish superchips would have released a 93 tune as the one they have is for 91, I would bet a 93 tune would gain a good bit over this tune

I got tired of waiting and i'm bored with 15psi, the price is good on this, hell, its almost worth the price in being a diagnostics tool... so I went with it...

all in all, it doesn't matter which tune you get... without the driver mod that extra 30-50whp isn't going to do **** for you... and because of that, there will always be people with canned tunes embarrassing folks with dyno tunes, and vice versa

I can tune on top of the stage kit too if GM ever releases it that is.

It should be just Terminatortuned.

I can defienately do that for you and if you send me the data logs I can recalibrate the MAF for you if necessary so your A/F is where it should be.

Well said bro. I agree. I think drewbroo got 281/305 in some hot ass weather, so I would say your estimate is right one. He has an intake, muffler delete and I think one cat cut out.

I honestly think with the Superchips, a downpipe and (the only choice it seems for an intake) the AEM intake - guys will be at or over 300 TO THE WHEELS.

Remember what i have read is that the Stage Kit is looking like 275 gross hp (meaning at the crank). That translates, accounting for drivetrain loss to a little more than stock rwhp.

That just doesn't excite me.

the stage kit is supposed to have 290 gross hp... which is not in my opinion worth the nearly thousand $ price tag it's going to have with instillation

the stage kit is supposed to be having close to 290 gross hp... which is not in my opinion worth the probably $800 price tag after instillation

How would i go about sending you the logs???? Would the guy that puts the tune into my car be able to do that?

best run to date has been 288/314, I didn't get a printout though, so I post no official claim.
