So To sum this all everyone. Superchips will make more power with a free flowing exhaust and so will HP Tuners to get this all back on track.

Why, are you not getting any gain with it or what? I really like mine , i know more power can be made but the Cortex is fine for now . I don't have a tuner within 150 miles that knows about the LNF.

Not really. The stock muffler and resonator on this car flow more than the turbo can because our mufflers are strait through not chambered or baffled like other OEM mufflers.

Its louder now, but the power now is stupid. I can lay down a strip of rubber at 50 MPH......

Gas mileage is improved. I will upload the sheet when I can, but All my crap is moved out of my house, and all I can do is snap a cell phone pic of the Dynosheet.

I also snapped a picture of the DP being dropped.
I knew that muffler was holding you back. Those numbers like a little more like it. torque still seems low but maybe it is just the way that dyno reads. I am going to dyno mine on there once I get my AEM Intake.

It should lay down rubber at 50 mph.

You will be happy with the results. Look for upwards to 285/300+ with your mods. My next mod is going to be a cryo cool setup, + 3'' Side exit + Tires

High flow Catted DP will help you too. That IC will make a good difference in the car because your IAT2s were about 40-50* hotter than mine with my Synapse IC. If it were not for the fact you are moving to the land of 91 octane only I could have gotten you another 20 wtrq and 15 whp.

Sorry False alarm I thought I was going to be trading my car in for a new WRX but I changed my mind. This car keeps growing on me for some reason. I start hating the dull Rubbermaid interior less and less as the days go by. Getting the Muffler Delete mod today!! I'll post vids later...it's raining elephants and donkeys out today. I love this tune and am plenty pleased with the power don't worry!

That is right where I would want to be. The Superchips tune looks safe as well. You are gonna need that cryo cool in AZ. Good luck to you! Thanks for the support.

It is definately a safe tune. It is basically a stock tune with slightly higher airloads and richer A/F mixture. Stock timing, stock cam tables, stock max airload torque table, stock torque management. Nothing special. The unfortunate thing about it being so conservative is that it will not add that much power with added mods.

Holy Fat Stinky Ass Turd, Muffler Delete Mod FTMFW!! I love the pops and gurgles and there is zero drone when coasting or on the highway or anything!! If you haven't ripped off your stock suitcase sized muffler yet...do it!! Time to get a catless downpipe now!

We carry the Super Chips line. Where are you ordering from and what is the price? We will try to beat it, if members want these...
i would say best bang for buck out there. Two year powertrain warranty with the product.

I bought mine for $340 shipped from autoanything

Nope but it adds a ton more power if used correctly. Pick your poison.

The superchips tune is like going from stock to stage3 on a SS/SC. I remember when i got stage 2 for the old car and thought it was a big difference , the cortex is way more of a jump than that.

the turbo sounds ridiculous now as well... I used to run an open cone fenderwell CAI on this car, took it off because of concerns... went back to the stock air box so my loud turbo and "blowing off" was gone for the most part(didn't miss the blowing off but missed the turbo spool)

both are back and louder than ever, lol... I couldn't imagine it with a CAI and a downpipe/catback

I just put the Superchips tune on my car..... and it was laughable at best.

My MAF lbs/min dropped about 5lbs, to around 29-30.2 at WOT. Stock timing, stock torque management, MAP Kpa was 235 at MAX (where on my tune it was 250+), couldn't even get 2nd gear to try and break loose.

I wouldn't pay more than $100 for this. My basic HPTuners tunes for the TC have more ***** than this tune does

And it doesn't hold a candle against Terminators, my personal tunes, or Area47's maps. SO pick your poison there

IF you are content with slow and having a 2yr warranty than so be it... but I'll take my real power over it any day of the week...

Well.............It's better than stock , In my area there were two option's ...SC or trifecta . I went with SC (bought mine used for 290) so i could sell the tuner after the stage kit's were out. So that was my reasoning at the time, If anyone is buying it for the warranty ......their nut's. It's good to know that your tune is that much better thou, I look forward to the end of the month

No problem... just thought I would share my experience with it. Guess I'm just spoiled because it didn't feel much different than stock to be 100% honest
